This decision has made the price of this latest machine to rise considerably, but to change series of support which is one of the standard bearers of high definition are available. The Xbox 360 reads DVD-Video without need an extra accessory, and there is a HD-DVD drive optional which allows playback of movies in this format. On the other hand, the Wii cannot be used currently to see our DVDs, although Nintendo have announced a model that will have this feature thanks to additional software. On the other hand, the Playstation 3 and Wii units are slot-in and do not emit excessive noise during playback, whereas on Xbox 360 the reader is tray, and for some reason is one of the main factors of particular noise generated by the console during its operation.
